PRIVACY STATEMENT

Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) values our supporters and is committed to respecting the privacy of the information you share with us.   

• We do not share, trade, rent or sell our mailing or email lists with any other organization.

• We use discretion in the frequency with which we contact you; 

  • Print newsletters twice a year and fundraising letters twice a year;

  • Email updates only when there is major news to report and no other communication is pending;

• We comply with any request from donors to have their name removed from mailing lists, or to limit the frequency or type of mailings they receive. 

•  We use our best efforts to comply with the expressed wishes of donors who want to give anonymously;

• We have procedures in place to limit access to information to only those employees and board members who need to know such information in order to fulfill our mission.

• We collect very limited information (using “cookies”) about visitors to our website for the purposes of monitoring traffic and assessing our site.  The following information is available to us only in the aggregate and can not be used to identify individual visitors:  computer IP (internet protocol) address, the domain used to connect (e.g. .edu, .com, .net)  and the type of browser used (e.g. Firefox, Windows Explorer).  IP addresses may represent individual users, but generally are gateways to large corporate or ISP networks such as Google or Yahoo, etc. 

If we change our privacy policy in the future, we will post the revised policy.
