Last year, 100 in-house counsel at area companies raised over $30,000 to help GBLS serve clients who need legal assistance to meet their basic needs.  

How Much Should I Give?

Typical gifts range from $150 - $1,000.  Here’s how your money makes an impact on our clients:

  • $1,000 enables a GBLS attorney to represent an abuse victim in divorce and custody proceedings, where she will obtain the income, housing and legal freedom needed to support herself and her children;
  • $500 funds representation of an elderly person who will obtain medication and health care because his advocate proved he was eligible for medical benefits;
  • $250 helps a homeless family gain access to emergency shelter.
